The Harlot's Progress.  Plate II.  The Jew, the Mistress and the Lover.  1732.

In the second scene Moll is clearly well established and her benefactor is a kindly wealthy Jew who dotes on her.  (It is not clear why we should identify hin as a Jew but the conmmentaries seem to name him as such).  He is the one who has provided the rich setting in which she now lives, waited on by a black servant and with a monkey as a pet.   She is a kept woman, but she also entertains other lovers, one of whom happens to be with her when her protector arrives for tea.  In order to distract attention so that the lover can escape unheeded, she kicks over the costly table breaking the china on it.  The maid complicitly helps the lover to escape.  Tea sipped from porcelain tea bowls was an expensive luxury of the time which few could afford, and Hogarth is probably satirising the extravagance of the merchant class.    On the wall are paintings of biblical scenes.
