The Bench 1758

	This is said to be a session of the Court of Common Pleas. The characters satirised are The Hon. William Noel; Sir John Willes, Lord Chief Justice; Sir Edward Clive; The Hon. Mr. Justice Bathurst. The artist's intention was to ridicule the want of capacity amongst some of the judges of his time.
