 Simon Lord Lovat, the chief of Clan Fraser  1745.  

Lord Lovat supported the Stuart Pretender to the throne and was tried by his peers and found guilty of treason.  He was executed in 1745.  Compare this engraving with the painting by Hogarth, reproduced here.
